1. How would you describe your job as a tester at Navmatix?

As a tester at Navmatix, my job is to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. I focus on identifying bugs, verifying functionality and making sure that everything runs smoothly before it reaches the customer. It's a mixture of detective work, precision and communication.

2. What is a typical day in your role?

A typical day starts with checking for updates from the development team, reviewing new builds or features, and planning my testing tasks. Then I dive into manual or automated testing, writing bug reports and attending team meetings to coordinate with developers and project managers.

3. How do you work with developers and project managers to
ensure a smooth testing process?

Communication is key. I make sure I stay in sync with developers during stand-ups and meetings, ask questions early and report bugs clearly. I discuss priorities with the project owner to align the test plan with the project goals.

4. What do you think is the biggest challenge in testing software
for GNSS-related solutions?

The complexity and accuracy required. GNSS systems deal with real-time positioning and data accuracy, so even small problems can have a big impact. Testing needs to simulate different conditions, which adds an extra layer of challenge.

5. What tools do you use for testing and which do you find most
useful for our projects?

I use a mix of tools such as Jira for tracking, Postman for API testing and automation tools such as Maven, Gherkin, JUnit. And of course some software specific to the GNSS world for various calculations and data verification.

6. What inspired you to pursue a career in software testing and
what do you enjoy most about it?

I've always enjoyed solving problems and making things better. Testing allows me to dive into the details, think critically and contribute to building better software. I find it very rewarding to catch problems before users do.

7. Outside of work, do you have any hobbies or activities that
help you unwind after a day of testing?

Yes, I enjoy spending time at my cottage, where there's always some manual work to be done. It's a nice break and relaxation for my head - instead of using my head, I get to stretch my body. It keeps things in balance.
